*Quantities and requirements are fictional demonstration values. Available = stock on hand − reserved; projected need is a manually entered coordination estimate, not a dose calculation or clinical verification. All quantities use the item’s listed inventory unit. Ordering does not mean stock has arrived.

Receiving an order increases the demonstration stock balance. Actual deliveries and stock must be checked against the pharmacy's approved inventory records. No external ordering takes place here.

Discrepancies are flagged for authorized team review. This demonstration does not determine appropriate doses, validate clinical treatment, or correct billing.

Existing EMR / pharmacy system integration

This prototype does not connect to an EMR. An implementation should use the practice's approved systems and vendor-supported access methods.

Suggested rollout

  1. Confirm source systems: identify EMR, infusion scheduling, inventory/dispensing, and charge capture platforms.
  2. Start read-only: import approved scheduling, order and worklist data through vendor-supported reports, APIs or integration interfaces.
  3. Keep a coordination layer: track owners, deadlines and administrative exceptions with controlled access, rather than duplicating clinical decisions.
  4. Handle write-back separately: proposals to change appointments or orders go through authorized workflows and clinical review.
  5. Complete security review: appropriate HIPAA arrangements, minimum-necessary access, audit logging and business associate requirements before PHI is processed.
A separate browser-hosted demo must not be populated with real patient information. Treatment and pharmacy clinical orders remain authoritative in the practice's validated systems.
